Nobel Prize Winning Immunotherapy in Cancer Treatment: Its Evolution to a Promising Future
Cancer immunotherapy is pioneered by Special Professor Tasuku Honjo toward the conquest of cancer as a shared dream of humanity.
This lecture is presented by the Kyoto University Center for Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunobiology (CCII), the first comprehensive cancer immunology research hub in Japan founded by Nobel Laureate Professor Tasuku Honjo, whose groundbreaking work led to the development of immune checkpoint inhibitors such as Opdivo and Keytruda.
Bringing together leading scientists and clinicians, CCII serves as a unique platform that seamlessly connects fundamental discovery with clinical innovation. In this lecture, we will explore the Center’s vision, ongoing challenges, and future potential, while highlighting the latest advances in cancer immunology and offering insights into the current landscape of cancer in the United States.
Professor Honjo will share a video remark, followed by two special guest speakers Dr. Kenji Chamoto from CCII and Dr. Guido Wendel from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
This webinar lecture is open to the public. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the latest cancer treatment that has saved countless lives and the future of cancer immunology with distinguished scholars!
