T-Shirt & Engagement Campaign: Support Global Leaders and Scholars from Kyoto University Through Every Shirt You Buy

From July 20, 2026 to August 19, 2026, we highlight the voices of the participants of our Kingfisher Global Leadership Program and Shida Scholarship Program. The programs have a positive impact on participants’ professional and scholarly careers and the results become possible thanks to your generous support. We appreciate your continuous support to make programs more powerful and sustainable.

All donations will go to the program operations. We also accept donations through the methods below.

T-Shirt Campaign

Ways to give to Kyodai CollaborativeYour generous support has life-changing impacts on Kyoto University students’ leadership and career development as well as scholarly progress in the world.

“Being supported by and connected with visionary professionals across North America who share the same alma mater, 6,000 miles away from home, has been truly empowering” (Shida Scholar).

“Kingfisher truly [provided] connections with many influential people. It was an honor to learn from them and engage in direct discussions. I don’t think many other programs could offer such a unique opportunity” (Kingfisher Leader).

Your donation will be used to program operations. For example, you can support the Kingfisher Global Leadership Program with:

$150: Amtrak ticket from DC to NY for one student
$300: One cultural activity or space for a career session
$600: One networking meal
$1200: Ground transportation, such as chartered cars and metro, for one participant.
$2500: Flights for one student
$5000: Flights and hotels for one student
$8000: All program expenses for one student, including flights, hotels, domestic ground transportation, meals, tours, leadership coaching, and cultural activities
$10000: All program expenses and program operating costs for one student

  • Empowering Kyoto University students as current and future leaders with the skills and networks they need to thrive in an increasingly globalized society through the Kingfisher Global Leadership Program.
  • Supporting Kyoto University’s early career researchers achieve their goals of expanding their research and future opportunities outside of Japan through the Shida Scholarship Program.
